We watched lover’s swoon
in a rose petal romance.
As with all first kisses
her foot popped
like champagne bubbles
begging her to dance.
Exploding like the sunrise
painting prisms
across the darkest edges
of reality and we remember
there’s still beauty in the madness

My suggestion is simple. There might be songs that you like. Get the lyrics to those songs off the internet. When you already enjoy the song you will find it easier to enjoy it. Now you can simple start to try and understand what the lyricist is trying to express

One you get used to this then you naturally start understanding what kind of genre you like. Just go with the flow from there on

In fact I m happy to hear you say this. My whole point of starting this blog was to get more people interested in beauty of the written word, when now adays it’s fading due to our social media culture.

It’s sounds fun. Actually, It’s bit difficult for me to understand the poetry written in English, because English isn’t my first language, though. But I’ll try starting with my own language.
You know, I see a lot of people who loves poetry are easy to understand many things including human being as well. That’s why I want to know more about this.
Thanks for the advice Mr.?

You have nothing to apologise for. Language is ultimately a tool to share our thoughts and ideas. From that point of view I understood everything you have written. Besides the only way to develop your language is to keep using it
